Past, Present, and Future
Madsen Creations was founded in 2009 by Rachel Madsen in Yuba City California in 2010 she debuted in her first professional Fashion Show Unearthed by Raw Artists. She still struggled to make an impact in the Yuba-Sutter area so by 2013 she decided to move to San Diego County to attend Palomar Community College as part of the Fashion Design Program and increase her knowledge of the Art. While attending Palomar she worked at Legoland CA in the Entertainment Costume department learning first hand the Art of Costume Design under Yoli Bennett Head of Costuming. She also had the opportunity to participate in the the Yearly MODA fashion show put on by the college as well as volunteer as a dresser for a number of fashion shows, including those of Designer Royalty Zandra Rhodes. In 2016 she Premiered her Menswear Collection "Dapper" before moving to Orange County where she began teaching Fashion Design and Sewing to Elementary Students under the Anaheim Achieves program, while becoming one of the top rated tailors in the City of Orange. She concluded her life in Orange with another RAW Fashion Show in 2018 in Costa Mesa. At the end of 2019 she returned to her hometown of Yuba City, to work as a youth leader in her church. She continues to focus on her love of Custom Apparel by creating one of a kind pieces as well as breathing new life into ready-to-wear through Alterations.
