Can't head to SoCal without a day at the beach, and short jaunt down to Malibu. I actually had never been so my friends said we had to go. We decided to have lunch at Paradise Pier Cove right on the beach, feet in the sand.
Calimari and the Barcelona sea food platter to share! Talk about a beautiful view, and we had dolphins swimming off the coast the whole time. It was such a special lunch!
Afterwards what could we do but take a stroll along the beach, so we lathered up sunscreen and walked down to look at all those Million dollar houses.
Along the way we found the cutest bench someone built in the shade of a tree. The perfect spot to rest and admire the view.
So we may or may not have gotten a little carried away, and some of our photos were crashed by friendly dog. It was a perfect beach day with the best people.
When we'd sufficiently traveled the coast we headed back to the car, to look for some attraction to do before leaving Malibu for good. Unfortunately everything was closed, so we just took a drive along the coast.
At some point I fell asleep, I'm not accustomed to getting a lot of sun, so it took a lot out of me. And in despite my sunblock use I still got a little red, which was a real bummer.
At home I was rubbed down in aloe vera to repair my poor damaged skin and pick out a movie. Burlesque was the winner, but I wanted frozen yogurt so we hopped on down to Yogurtland who does not carry nerds as a topping 😡 disappointing, I know. Nerd free I ate it anyways. We watched Burlesque and two more episodes of The Chosen before hitting the sack. Thursday we leave so it was nice to have a chill night in.
What did I wear? A black tube top I've had for a million years, but it still looks good so I keep wearing it. I also wore some silver pleated trousers I made and the sandels purchased at Forever 21.
