Christmas is just around the corner, and I wanted to make Baby something special for the Holiday.

I'd seen this outfit on Pinterest and really liked it, I thought I could try something similar!

I used the shorts from this pattern in another post. It reminded me of the Pinterest image.
We took a trip to In Stitches for fabric as I didn't have anything Christmasy on hand. I was looking for a Christmas tree, but my baby found this Rudolph the Red-Nosed Raindeer fabric and wouldn't let it go. Christmas fabric was half off if you bought a yard. I only need half a yard, but got the full yard to take advantage of the sale.
I also picked up a nice striped flannel as my contrast.

I found this cute Rudolph on Amazon https://amzn.to/3MgRm0Y the pattern has you make a flower applique but that won't go with my Christmas version so I got this instead. I sewed it on in place of the flower.

Next I made some bias tape ties (using my Rudolf Fabric) which I attached to both sides of the front and back where the pattern indicated.

I sewed my two fronts together, right sides kissing, leaving a small opening to turn and clipping my curves. I repeated this with the back.

I then topstitched around the entire outside edge, closing my hole and finishing the front. I repeated this on the back

I sewed snaps to the shoulder straps and made bows with the ties. The top is all done and reversible.
I ended up having leftover fabric of both striped flannel and Rudolph cotton. I used this Simplicity pattern to make a skirt and pants these can be mixed and matched to create 4 outfits from these three garments.
This was such an easy project, even though it doesn't look exactly like my inspo picture, I'm super happy with the result!!! And Baby loves it too!!!
