Bibs for Baby

Little Baby is teething, and for those of you that know, you know lol.
I have quite a few bibs that I received at my baby shower, but as it turns out, not enough lol. So I decided to make my own!

Shout out to Positively Splendid for providing this FREE pattern. Which can be found here: https://www.positivelysplendid.com/baby-bib-pattern/

I started by taping my pattern together, then pinning it to an old pillowcase and cutting.
(I made a few tests and discovered after trial and error that when using an old pillowcase you need two layers of pillowcase becausethe fabric is so thin.)

Next we pin it to fleece, one layer of fleece per bib is fine.

Right sides together sew 1/4in seam allowance the way around leaving a small gap to turn.
Forgot to take pics of the next part, but if you've read my past posts that require turning, this'll be familiar.
Notch all your curves then turn the bib right side out. Iron flat tucking your opening in on itself.

Topstitch

The designer of this pattern recommends putting snaps 1/2in from the top edge of the bib collar flaps. I choose to put in buttons, I did a buttonhole on one side, and a button on the other.

Optional: I discovered after completing one of my bibs a small imperfection on one, so a sewed a butterfly over the imperfection. Regardless of imperfections or damage, feel free to decorate bibs however you like!

That's it for today! See you next week, and Happy Sewing!!!
